MEET CAROL
For more than 20 years, she’s been turning big dreams into beautiful details designing intricate custom maps and luxe wedding + event stationery that tell a story with every brushstroke. As the creative heart behind Eight21 Studios LLC, Carol blends fine art illustration with a touch of whimsy, creating pieces that feel personal, joyful, and just a bit magical.
When the world shifted in 2020, so did Carol, and that’s when she happily wandered into the greeting card world. Armed with a pen, a paintbrush, and a love for meaningful words, she began creating cards filled with playful artwork and heartfelt sentiments currently selling online, in boutique gift shops and wholesale all over the US .
Eight21 Studios has always been about story… but this year, she is refashioning something even closer to her heart. While continuing to create her signature watercolor greeting cards, 2026 marked a thoughtful shift, not a full turn, but a meaningful one. With the launch of Eight21 Refashioned, Carol is revisiting some of her creative beginnings, roots guided by a sewing machine, heritage textiles, and a renewed passion for making something old feel beautifully new. Not a change. It’s a joyful refinement, a plot twist toward work that lights her up, an addition to creating with her hands, and a deep sense of purpose, fulfillment, and joy in every piece she brings to life. Plus who doesn't love to help people become the "Best Decorated House on the Block".
Carol isn’t just a watercolor artist... she’s resilient, resourceful, and fueled by love. A proud mama to three incredible adults+3 and “Grammie” to four sweet grandkids. You’ll even find her teaching her older grands how to turn “refrigerator art” into products they can sell. While they are also winning the prestigious Louie Award in the Greeting Card industry, with one of their collabs! Creativity should be celebrated and shared by all no matter the age or talents.
If she ever hits a creative block? She heads to the kitchen. A little baking therapy and she’s back to daily business.
